Interview with Lars Lønberg, HR Manager

What skills are essential for future PBS employees?
"Our employees must have business sense and an interest in payment processes. They need to understand how technical possibilities can be used to develop payment solutions. It is important that they have a sense of what will create value for PBS and our customers. Our employees' skills, their understanding of business and the customer services that they provide are what makes PBS competitive."

How can we, as PBS employees, use our expertise to benefit our customers?
"We have worked intensively and continuously with electronic payment processes for many years. This has created an enormous insight into and knowledge of the field. Coupled with our market credibility, this gives us an amazing starting point for creating new businesses. The key to using this in a way to benefit our customers is having deep insight into the issues surrounding payments faced by individual customers."

What is the biggest challenge for a PBS employee?
"That would be the specific requirement to be able to work in a climate of change, as the competition in the market is increasing. This means that we need to win every single business case. Management's challenge is to ensure that employees have the conditions that they need to obtain their goals, and the employees' challenge is to use the framework PBS places at their disposal."

How will PBS attract and retain attractive employees?
"In my opinion, this question relates back to the framework mentioned in the previous answer, which we believe gives individuals and working groups the optimal conditions to develop. PBS must be an attractive workplace, and that is exactly what it is thanks to our dynamics. In other words, we provide good opportunities for employees to get involved and work with challenging projects. We are also constantly working on preparing and redeveloping what we offer our employees, first and foremost in the area of skills development."
