NemID - the new secure log-on
NemID is set to be the new, secure way to log onto Internet sites. Whether you need to log onto your online banking service, find information from public authorities or conduct a dialogue with a company, NemID will be your new digital signature. This secure, user friendly and accessible service has been developed by DanID A/S, a wholly owned subsidiary of PBS. Until NemID is launched, DanID will continue to operate the existing digital signature product.

Benefits of NemID
NemID will replace the digital signature that many Danes know and use. The digital signature guarantees the identification of sender and receiver information, and ensures secure encrypting of personal data on the Internet and in emails. NemID will provide the same benefits and more. NemID is not limited to use on a single computer; rather it can be used wherever you are. You just need a code card, which can easily be carried in a wallet. It will no longer be necessary to use different codes for online banking and access to public authorities. NemID will provide access to your entire digital world with the greatest imaginable level of security. With NemID, your personal computer will be less at risk for spyware, which can steal passwords and key scripts.

NemID is a service of DanID A/S
NemID has been developed by DanID A/S, a wholly owned subsidiary of PBS. DanID A/S has been chosen to launch the product by the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, which has set stringent requirements that must be met by the new digital signature NemID. Until NemID is launched, DanID will continue to operate the existing Digital Signature product. PBS has 40 years of experience in delivering secure and user-friendly payment services. Therefore, NemID is a natural progression for PBS, as the company that is in the process of bringing safe and secure digitalisation to Danes’ lives.
