Consequently in the first three quarters of the year a total of 29,065,993 card transactions took place on the Internet, which is a rise of 21 % compared with the same period last year.
Taken on its own, however, the third quarter represents a small fall in the number of card transactions compared with the preceding quarter, which is unusual compared with previous years.
The average purchase using a Dankort in the first three quarters of the year amounted to DKK 553, which means that Dankort’s Internet turnover reached just under DKK 13.6 billion for the whole period. There has thus been a decline in average purchases over the Internet, which for Q3 alone was only DKK 531.
