Many customers still receive emails appearing to be from PBS. This is not the case. The emails are just another phishing attempt where fraudsters are trying to elicit card details and other personal information from customers.
The email, written in almost perfect Danish, contains a detailed description of facts about the two security standards used for online shopping: Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode,.
If you receive such an email
You should:
• Not reply to the e-mail
• Not open the attached document.
If you have already completed and returned the document, you should immediately block the card(s) that you have provided information about.
Please note that PBS, banks and the international card companies will never send emails or contact you by telephone asking for your card number, expiry date, CVV number or PIN. If you are contacted in this way, you should not reply and not provide your card details.
Filter out unauthorised PBS emails
We have recently implemented an SPF (Sender Policy Framework) solution at PBS, which enables email recipients to check whether the sender is who they claim to be.

Nu er det nemmere at handle i forretninger, der er tilmeldt MasterCard SecureCode og Verified by Visa. Verified by Visa og MasterCard SecureCode er indført som sikkerhedsstandard af de to internationale kortorganisationer i fællesskab. Det betyder, at betalingen sker på samme måde, uanset om du bruger dit Visa kort eller MasterCard.
